* 2 bags of ground poppy seeds (total 400 g)

## **Preparation method:
**Step 1: Preparing the poppy seeds**
Pour hot milk over the poppy seeds and set aside until they absorb all the liquid and swell.
### **Step 2: Preparing the mass**
Cream the butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.
Add the egg yolks and mix thoroughly.
Then add the poppy seeds, semolina, and baking powder.
Add the dried fruit (raisins and orange zest) and almond flavoring. Mix with a spoon.
### **Step 3: Beating the egg whites**
Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and gently fold them into the poppy seed mixture.
### **Step 4: Baking**
Transfer the batter to a baking pan (approx. 25x25 cm) lined with baking paper.
Bake at 175°C for approximately 1 hour. Test with a skewer to see if the cake is done.
### **Step 5: Glaze**
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler with 1 tablespoon of milk.
Pour the prepared glaze over the warm poppy seed cake.
